1. About these terms
These terms govern the provision of driving instructor training services by Karen Henderson, trading as Henderson ADI Training ("we", "us", "our"), to the individual or organisation booking the training ("you", "the client").
Registered office: Myreriggs Road, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, PH13 9HS, United Kingdom.
By confirming a booking or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. Please read them before booking.
2. Services
We provide bespoke one-to-one driving instructor training, including ADI Part 2 preparation, ADI Part 3 preparation, Standards Check preparation, and continuing professional development for qualified ADIs.
Training is delivered in-car at locations agreed in advance, in the Perth, Dundee, Stirling, Tayside and Fife areas, or at other locations by prior arrangement.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Initial assessment (1.5 hours): £110
- Standard lesson (minimum 2 hours): £150 (£75 per hour)
- 5-hour package: £350 (£70 per hour)
- 10-hour package: £700 (£70 per hour)
Bespoke plans may be quoted separately. Prices are fixed at the time of booking and will not change once your booking is confirmed.
Fees are payable in advance - by bank transfer or card - to secure your booking. Training slots are not reserved until payment is received.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a session by giving us at least 48 hours' notice before the scheduled start time.
- If you cancel with 48 hours' notice, the initial assessment fee is refundable, and unused package hours remain valid as agreed.
- If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, the session may be charged in full.
- Unused package hours can be rebooked by mutual agreement.
Full details of our refund and cancellation rights are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Statutory cancellation rights. If you book as a consumer (not as a business) and the booking is made at a distance - by telephone, email or online - you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving confirmation, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin the service within the cooling-off period, we will ask for your express agreement and will charge you for any service delivered up to the point of cancellation. These rights are additional to, and do not affect, your rights under these terms.
5. Your obligations
- Attend sessions on time, and inform us in advance if you cannot.
- Be fit to drive and hold a valid, appropriate licence and insurance where required for the activity.
- Comply with the Road Traffic Act and any DVSA rules that apply to the training you are taking part in.
- Treat our staff with respect. We may end a booking without refund for abusive or unsafe behaviour.
6. Our liability
We provide professional training with reasonable skill and care. We do not guarantee that any candidate will pass a DVSA test or Standards Check; these are external assessments with their own standards and outcomes.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.
Subject to the above, our total liability arising from any booking is limited to the amount you have paid for that booking.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Scotland. The Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes relating to these terms or our services.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you confirm a booking applies to that booking. The current version is always published on this page.
